For over 35 years, Johnson & Johnson has helped Operation Smile provide more than 400,000 smiles to children and young adults born with cleft conditions.

Over the lifetime of the partnership, we’ve provided product, financial, and employee support. We continue to evolve our relationship into a multidimensional & programmatic partnership.

Seven (7) million people are living with cleft conditions in low- and middle-income countries. In 2023, Johnson & Johnson announced a 3-year, $10M commitment in cash and product donations in support of the J&J and Operation Smile shared goal of providing 1 million people with access to cleft surgery and care by 2032.

As the official suture partner of Operation Smile, our shared mission with Operation Smile is paving a path to health equity through access to safe surgery.

As little as $240 can cover basic surgical care for one waiting child

    Why Operation Smile Canada?

Every three minutes, a child is born with a cleft lip or cleft palate

And many are unable to access the safe, effective surgical care they need due to shortage of surgeons, medical infrastructure and affordability. At Operation Smile Canada, we believe that every child deserves exceptional surgical care regardless of where they’re born or how much money their family makes.
