My name is Victor. I believe that there is much work to be done in our world today. Look around… people today are starving. Some children have no choice but to suffer diseases like marasmus and kwashiorkor. People in certain third world countries are still suffering under the constant oppression of dictatorial leaders, much like those we read about in our history books. There is such a large disparity around our globe, that any initiative to close this gap would be a useful effort. With Operation Smile, we are offering to children all around the world, not only the medical procedure which might help their condition, but also an opportunity for those born in low- and middle- income countries to recieve high quality care. Smile is doing good things. They are providing volunteer experience to benefit those who are more fortunate as well as critical care to those who need it.

I am truly inspired by Smile’s generous work, and I will do my best to help out the children suffering from cleft lip or palate by fundraising for the cause.

I like drumming, calligraphy, and , apparently, hypnosis. I am also into biology, cytology, and medicine [though I can’t say I’m at all experienced in that practice (as a high school student)].

$100 I will read 5 (or however many I feel I need to fully understand the topic) science articles about the congenital defect of cleft palate/lip.

$200 I will do two very nice things for two people.

$400 I will make a thank you card for top 10 donors!
