Hi there! My name is Jacqueline and I am a second-year student at Western University pursuing an Honours Specialization in Sociology and Minor in Political Science. This is my first year being a part of the Operation Smile Student Chapter at Western. Prior to coming to university I was involved with Operation Smile through the McMath Operation Smile Club as well as the organization’s International Student Leadership Conference. Throughout these experiences I have found a great sense of community within the Operation Smile network. Beyond what Operation Smile has done for me, it does amazing work for those in need worldwide. When left untreated, cleft lips/palates can have life-threatening implications and affect children’s self confidence. This is why the Operation Smile Student Chapter at Western is dedicated to raising as much funds as possible to help Operation Smile Canada provide these children with cleft/lip palate surgeries. Therefore, I would be so grateful if you would help me to reach my fundraising goal of $240 which is the price of one cleft/lip palate surgery for a child in need. In doing so, your donation can help enact some truly meaningful change in a child’s life.
