Hey! My name is Katie and I am this year's vice-president of the Operation Smile club at Northern!

I first heard about Operation Smile through my school, and was immediately interested in their work of providing cleft palate surgeries to kids in developing countries. A smile is the first thing you notice about someone (and goes a long way!), so I love that this organization works to deliver every child with a smile that will leave a lasting impression on everyone they meet!

I am passionate about medicine, and am looking forward to pursuing a career in this field when I am older. For now, I am so excited to help Operation Smile meet their goals, and provide worldwide smiles, and surgical care. 

I am confident in this year's team to do an incredible job fundraising, and raising awareness around Operation Smile, and their objectives. I am working with an amazing group of like-minded peers, who hold the same passion I do in providing worldwide access to medical services. 

I am very excited for this year, and to continue fundraising!!
