Every three minutes, a child is born with a cleft lip and/or a cleft palate. Infants born with cleft conditions have nine times the risk of dying before their first birthday.

Operation Smile is a volunteer-led global medical charity that provides free surgery to repair cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial differences in children and young adults. We believe every child born with a cleft lip or cleft palate deserves exceptional surgical care.
